In a concerted effort to give back to the community and foster environmental sustainability, the ICC La Salle Batch of 1998 united with the ICC La Salle University Alumni Association, Inc. for a remarkable tree planting activity in Barangay Dimaluna, Ozamiz City. This altruistic endeavor, held on November 25, 2023, stood as a testament to their dedication to environmental conservation and community welfare.

The event drew participation from passionate alumni who enthusiastically reconnected not only with each other but also with their shared commitment to preserving nature. Against the backdrop of lush greenery, the volunteers, with shovels in hand and hearts brimming with enthusiasm, came together to contribute to a greener and healthier environment.

The location in Barangay Dimaluna was carefully chosen, reflecting the group’s desire to address local ecological concerns and support the community’s sustainable development. With the guidance of local environmental experts, the participants planted a variety of indigenous tree species, carefully considering the region’s ecosystem for optimal impact.

Alumni Presidents and officers of Batches 1995, 1996, 1997 & 1998 hold meeting with the ICC-LSU AAI officers

Alumni presidents and officers of Batches 1995, 1996, 1997 & 1998 with the ICC-LSU AAI officers gathered for initial planning of the ICC-LSU ALUMNI GRAND REUNION this coming December 30, 2023. Homecoming events are a time-honored tradition that brings alumni back to their alma mater to celebrate their shared experiences and reconnect with old friends.

The meeting was held at Gat’s Bar and Restaurant and the alumni presidents were excited to be a part of the planning process and to ensure that the homecoming event will be a memorable one. The meeting began with a discussion about the goals of the event, and the alumni presidents shared their ideas on what they wanted to achieve.

One of the key goals was to create an event that would be inclusive of all alumni, regardless of when they graduated. The alumni presidents recognized that alumni from different generations had different experiences and memories, and they wanted to create an event that would be meaningful to everyone.

Another goal was to create an event that would be family-friendly. Many alumni bring their families to homecoming events, and the alumni presidents wanted to ensure that there were activities for children and families to enjoy.
